SERVANTS IN PRACTICE

One of the great sights to see around the Oasis these days are SERVANTS.  I hope you would expect to see the Oasis Team SERVING.  You will also certainly see many VOLUNTEERS serving excellently--the Oasis could not continue to EXIST without them.  But perhaps what you might not expect are the  REFUGEE SERVANTS.  Some of them we know are seeking Jesus.  Others of them we do not know exactly what they think about  Jesus.  Very often, our lack of knowledge is based on a lack of common language with them.  Hand motions help us communicate what needs to be done and more often, it is just a matter of them jumping in to serve where they see the need.

In any case, many are faithfully SERVING week after week.     It is a blessing to serve alongside them.  It is our prayer that they come to know, if they do not already, that Jesus did the same thing:  Came to serve!

Matthew 20:28  ... just as the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many.”
