The Oasis

I have been out here for the last week with two other short termers, it has been great to get involved with the Oasis ministries. Last night we had coffee shop, there were so many people, it was packed, and a mix of least fourteen nationalities between the helpers and the refugees, it was so much fun. It was great to hang out with some guys from Afghanistan and play games with them, and chat with them, or at least try! Wednesday night was fun sharing with those present. Getting two people to help with an illustration was particularly amusing, as they pulled funny faces when drinking cold coffee and salt that they thought was coca cola. It was good to have the opportunity to share with them about how God accepts us not based on what we do, but what he has done for us. It has been good chatting to one of refugees, that volunteered with the illustration,through the week. He is a lovely lad, and he knows a little English that has helped communication. Dan
