On Dec. 27th about mid-day Julie came by the Oasis with a past refugee, Amir,(not his real name). He had been in the Oasis at Christmas, 2 years ago. He had become a believer at that time and within a month was moved to another country , and than another country, till finally this past year God granted favor and he has received asylum in Germany. Amir came this Christmas to celebrate to remember and thank us for opening the door of Oasis that he could hear of Jesus. ( all of God’s grace)
Amir and I walked to the Camp and then to the Oasis as he shared memories of his time. One of our prayers while at the Camp was: “Lord would you send us more workers at Oasis. ” AS we went into the Oasis and through the large room, I noticed 2 men outside looking at our “closed sign”. I went out to greet them and shared that we would be open next week. They looked familiar, both from an Eastern country.
The 2 men shared an amazing thing: ‘’ we came by today -- just to ask if you needed help- we were both through the Oasis in the past ; we are baptized believers and we want to help you with the programs.
My guest Amir and I looked at each other and laughed. How fast can God answer a prayer! At the exact time we had just stopped in to remember, the 2 men stopped by to remember also. They remember their time and now as they live nearby they wanted to see how they can “give back”.
What a gift, we all stood in the oasis kitchen where countless cups of coffee /tea have been served over 26 years, and we simply worshiped. Worship and praise God with us.
God answers in ways we never expect. Please keep praying for helpers at oasis.
In His love we thank you for connecting, praying and with us believing God is Great, all things are possible with HIM..
