while you were out...

Earlier this summer, my family and I went to the States for one month to visit our supporting churches and share testimony of what the Lord had been doing in the lives of refugees at The Oasis. It was an encouraging visit, and many people were excited to hear about how Jesus was changing the hearts and lives of many refugees. But upon our return to Austria, it was my turn to hear some good news -- there had been several refugees who had come to faith in Jesus while we were gone! In the course of just that one month, there was a small group of refugees that arrived, asked some key questions about Jesus that were on their mind, and, having them clearly answered, placed their faith in Him, but were than transferred elsewhere before we got back! Wow! It was wonderful news to hear upon, only sad in that they were already placed elsewhere by the Austrian system, as they wait for their interview to be scheduled with the governing authorities (which can happen two weeks later, or ten to fifteen months later!). Please pray for these new believers: that they will keep reading God´s Word on their own, keep seeking Him in prayer, and that they will be able to find a good church to visit in the area where they now live. Praise the Lord that they know Jesus now, and we pray that they will grow in discipleship.     -Ken
