A New Year's Prayer

"Dear Lord we thank you for a new year. We know that each day is one step further into eternity and to the day that we're home with you. We thank you for the privilege you give us to share the truth of who you are with refugees, many of whom we look forward to joining us on the road home to you in 2010. Give us hope for those who are hopeless, a joy that radiates you, and the ability to serve, not only refugees, but also one another in new and powerful ways. Give us eyes to see, ears to hear and hearts to understand. We simply want you, Lord, in 2010 in everything. Amen."
