It was mentioned in our team meeting that the Team van that we have used to transport many of our short-term teams to and from the airport,used to transport refugees to church, used to move clothes boxes, furniture, and the team to endless retreats has only 24 days left before it needs to be retired from the road.
My 5 greatest moments with the Oasis Van.
5. Pushing the Van out of the snow and Ice at 10pm at night / pushing the van to jump start the engine after someone had left the lights of the van on.
4. Talking a wrong turn on a trip to a retreat - the mountain kept going up, the lane way getting narrower and narrower and our heart beats bounding harder and harder.
3. The Armenian boy who found my cornering a little rough and threw up all over the backseat.
2. Blowing a front tyre on one of the main streets of Vienna.
1. The little Chechen girl, holding on white knuckled to the back windscreen wiper - as we drove off not knowing that she had jumped on the back bumper for a joke.
As of yet we have no found the money or the right van to replace ours.
