Mr SY witnessed his friend’s baptism, Mr J, earlier this year and he came to also trust in Jesus and so was baptized recently. Several weeks ago he was transferred to another city. The Oasis Team has put Mr SY in touch with Christians in this other city, who have continued to minister to Mr SY. He has been caring for another refugee (Mr Q who lives in another city) who does not speak English or German and unfortunately does not live near other Christians who speak his native language. We continue to pray God will provide Mr Q Christian friends to help him grow in Christ. Mr J has been an encouragement to both Mr Q and Mr SY via the phone.
Mr J had been in the Austrian Refugee Camp several years ago and was still following his muslim beliefs. At that time he told other refugees NOT to go to the Oasis where “they talked about Jesus”. At that time, Mr J left the Austrian Camp only to return many years later when he was re-impacted by the gospel of Jesus. He continues to be a LINK as he seeks Jesus in his new life and as he cares for Mr S and Mr Q.
