Hello, we
wanted to introduce ourselves, as we are the newest members of the Oasis team.
Our names are Jeremy and Stephanie. We moved to Austria in December. We first
heard about the Oasis when we visited it on our honeymoon, a little over three
years ago. Since then, we have been praying about returning full time. God has
opened the doors, and it is amazing to finally be here. Right now we are in
language school studying German, but we will be joining the work at the Oasis
full time in April.
We wanted
to share one story with you about the connections that are being made with
refugees. A few weeks ago, Julie and I met 2 Iranian men who badly needed
warmer clothing. As we talked with them and got them some clothes, Julie
mentioned the name of Jesus in their language. They got all excited and started
repeating Jesus' name over and over. Then, one began removing his shirt.
Honestly, I wasn't sure what to expect. But he was trying to show us this
beautiful tattoo of his Savior across his back. They are Christians. We were
able to give them a full Bible in their language. Please pray that the Word
encourages their faith. Pray for their protection in the camp, and pray that
they will come back to be with other believers at the Oasis.
