Learning and Seeking can bring Persecution

For almost a year now, one of the ways God is blessing many refugees is through 2 volunteers at the Oasis and a local Austrian church.  One of these volunteers is himself a refugee and one is an Austrian.  Together they have been teaching and discipling many young men at the Oasis.  They have also invited these young men to the local church for Sunday morning worship.  For many weeks now the group has included 15 to 20 young men.  Even as some from this group are transferred to live elsewhere in Austria, new ones arrive and join this group.

AND, there is an important factor that makes us even more excited about this group:  For these young men, from Islamic backgrounds, to step foot in a  church or even attend such a teaching group at the Oasis, they are putting their life in danger.  Many Muslims fully believe, they are called to persecute any other Muslim who turns his back on the Islamic faith.  These young men who are coming to the Oasis, live amsong many from Islamic backgrounds.  Risk of persecution is a fact of life for them.

Pray for God's blessing on those who are seeking to learn about Jesus.  

Pray for God's blessing of protection as many face persecution.
