All nations before the throne: We have gotten just a taste of what that will be like.

Our team from First Baptist Church of Geneva, IL, USA, has joined the Oasis team for two weeks. During one corporate praise and worship time, the theme was the great gathering before the throne of God: angels in heaven, people from every nation, and all creatures in heaven and on earth—all worshipping the Lord God (Revelation 4 and 5). The nations have indeed have passed through the Oasis over the years.

These words in Revelation take on new meaning when we have:

  • Met people from over 20 countries and ethnic groups.

  • Seen Bibles, tracts, and the Jesus film in over 40 languages

  • Witnessed a speaker’s message being translated from English into Farsi, German, Armenian, and Arabic to a standing-room-only crowd.

  • Worshipped with Christians from other people groups at the Oasis and at churches in the towns of Baden and Mödling.

The Good News continues to be proclaimed from the Oasis, and to those whose hearts are ripe, God freely gives salvation. Only the Lord God knows how many who have entered these doors will be at that great gathering. While we are granted the time, may we all—wherever we are—be faithful to proclaim the Lord Jesus as the only way, the only truth, the only life.

Heilig, heilig das Lamm Gottes….”

(Rev 4:8ff; the “Revelation Song” in as we heard it sung in German this past Sunday).

All nations before the throne: We have gotten just a taste of what that will be like.
