Ups and Downs at the Oasis

UP:  Getting to give almost 100 Men  clothes, plus some suitcases, notebooks, cups, towels, sun glasses, and even some shampoo
DOWN:  Not having shoes for every person who needed them.

UP:  A lady with her 2 sons received asylum recently, ending almost 4 years of waiting and fearing the unknown
DOWN: An Afghan who is being deported later this month

UP:  seeing many Syrians come to hear the Biblical message on Wednesday night at the Oasis
DOWN:  Knowing that these Syrians are here because of war in their country.

UP:  Getting to help a refugee family pick up some needed household furniture items
DOWN:  Knowing there are many who we do not have the time and resources to help.

UP:  One Austrian has been coming for years to teach German on Thursday nights.

UP:  Two more Austrians are coming weekly to teach German

UP:  Local Austrians not connected to the churches we know, are bringing clothes to the Oasis for refugees

UP:  New Oasis Teammates are in the process of learning German as they settle into living here.
DOWN:  Their studies demand a lot of attention

UP:  We know this family (the Lyons) will be able to be able to play an active role at the Oasis when their tough studies are through.

UP:  The Lyons Family children are settling well into their studies here.

UP:  The weather is beautiful!
DOWN:  Wish you were here!
